With a growing interest in online viewing of sporting events, Origin Digital has been called upon to provide broadcasting through video streaming distribution channels.
Broadcast signals are encoded by a server and the stream is sent back to Origin Digital, where it is decoded, so that the video may be routed to Origin Digital's real-time encoders and distributed for digital broadcast. All real-time receipts of satellite feeds from clients are automatically streamed, and as a result, the delivered streams included all of the national commercials delivered through the television broadcast.
Origin Digital recently sent out 75 simultaneous streams to partner content delivery networks. By providing satellite downlink, encoding, project management, production and technical support for seamless distribution of content to partners such as Limelight and Akamai. Live sporting events have been made available for viewing online by over 200,000 concurrent viewers.
